Yes...Payton is mobile. One minute Jessica is asking me if Payton can walk yet and the next minute she takes a few steps. Crazy! The funny thing is that she started crawling and walking on the same day. Go figure. Baby proofing anyone? :o)
Payton and I went to visit my mom while she was babysitting Caeden at my sister's kitchen. Mom and I were going to do some shopping. It was so fun seeing the Payton and Caeden together. I hope they grow up to be the best of friends.

Famous Dave's
Last night Dave, Payton, and I went to Famous Dave's for dinner. The food was delicious! We got the feast for two and ate it all. Payton even helped, she liked the chicken and the corn muffin. I can't believe how expensive it is to go out to eat. That meal for two was $50...without the tip! Yikes! At least we had a gift card to make the bill easier to swallow.
I took Payton to the doctor yesterday. She has been on antibiotics for a double ear infection for about 10 days and didn't seem to be getting all the way better. When we first went to the doctor a couple weeks ago she had a runny nose and a cough in addition to the ear infection. Fortunately the runny nose and the cough are now gone. However, Payton has started screaming everytime I try to give her a bath. Especially when I try to wash her hair. I thought it was because of her ear infection, and have been super careful to not get water in her face or in her ears. I have to tell you, this screaming is the ear piercing scream when you feel as though your insides are rattling. It has been horrible. Well, I took her in to the doctor and Dr. Bhatia said her ears looked great and that everything else looked good. I told her about the screaming and she said it could be Payton being tempermental... Nice! So if anyone knows of any tricks to help make Payton like her baths again that would be great! :o)

I love the sunshine!
The weather was so nice yesterday. My friend Jessica and her daughter Sadie went to the park and then for a walk with Payton and I. I think Payton really liked getting out of the house, I know I did. Payton is getting so big, it isn't going to be long before she is up and running around the playground on her own. I can't wait but at the same time I can. :o)
After our walk, I came home and made some cookies to take over to my friend Aimee's house dinner. I have made these cookies a few times and they have just never turned out. Fortunately, third or forth time is a charm and they turned out OK. I should know I was quality control for the dough and samples from each cookie sheet as they came out of the oven...I will never loose the last five pounds.
Dinner at Aimee's was a lot of fun. I was able to get to know one of her friends, Shelly, a little better. She is really sweet and has an adorable son named Boyd. I am so glad I have such great friends in my life. Yay!

She Bit Me!!!
Payton now has two teeth. Two on top and two on bottom. The other day she was nursing and I can't remember what I was doing but whatever it was was making her laugh. It was so cute that I kept doing it so I could see her laugh. Well all of a sudden she bit down...I thought she was going to take part of me with her. My mom has always said that if she was to bite me while nursing to push her head into me to plug her nose and that she would let go. Yeah right! I pushed her away as fast as I could. Ouch! Shouldn't have done that.
Well, last night was a whole different story. She was winding down for the night and playing around. She kept saying "mama mama mama" and reaching for me. So I got down on the floor and was playing with her. She kept trying to give me a kiss (which is basically putting her open mouth on me). Well she put her mouth over my nose and bit down. I didn't think she was going to let go. I felt like those cartoons where the crab has clamped onto the person's nose. Ouch! It hurt so bad. Then she laughed. Dave laughed. I laughed...while holding my nose.

Couch Potato
My friend Jessica and I packed up our wee ones and headed to the Outlets in a search of great deals! Yesterday while I was out shopping with my sister and mom I noticed that Children's Place and Osh Gosh were having their winter clearance sales. I thought it would be good to go back and try to find some cute things that I could set aside for Payton to wear next winter. I did find a couple of things for Payton that I am really excited about. SCORE!
I don't think Payton is going to turn out to be a very big shopper. Jessica and I witnessed her first big tantrum in the store. She actually layed herself on the floor and screamed. I laughed. Anyway, when we did get home I set her on the couch to grab the things I needed to change her diaper and all of a sudden the TV turned on. The little stinker has figured out how to turn on the TV using the remote. Can you believe that? She is going to be a regular couch potato.
