Lincoln Says Mamma!

Lincoln said mama!

It is so fun to hear him discover his voice. One night around 2 in the morning we heard him, "mmmmm, mmmmmaaaa, mmmmaaaammmmaaa." As much as I hate getting up in the middle of the night, hearing that made it just a little easier. :o)

Lincoln grabs his toes!

That's right! He found his toes. However, it seems he can only reach them when he is in the buff or is only wearing a diaper. LOL

5 Pairs of Panties...

I have heard many different peoples thoughts on potty training and had decided to just wait until Payton decided she was ready. Then Payton had her two year check up. The doctor asked me if she had should interest in the potty. I told her that she had her days when she was really interested and other days...not so much. However, I did mention that she, on three different occasions had gone a whole day without any accidents.

The doctor then told me that I should just go for it. "Just put panties on her, she can do it. She already has."

The next day I did just that. Put panties on that girl and set the timer to remind me to take her to the potty. I will not go into any details but 5 pair of panties and outfits later I decided that maybe she wasn't ready just yet. Maybe I am not ready for potty training either. Yikes!

Happy Hollow - Take One

This was our very first trip to Happy Hollow and we had a blast!

Payton and Caeden weren't too sure about the Merry Go Round at first but both have since decided that it is a fun ride.

The petting area was fun too. Not many people at the park that day and so the goats and sheep were very excited to see anyone come into the pen, especially if they were holding food. One of the goats was so bold as to jump on the table while Coyo was getting food from the dispenser. It made me laugh.

I loved this picture, it is so cute. Julian was taking Payton to see the Lemurs.

Rodents of unusual size, frankly I don't think they exist? Well, at Happy hollow they do! :o) Whatever that creature is is considered a rodent...That is not why I included the picture though, I love Payton's smile.

All our cuties!

Group shot leaving the park.

Do you think we tuckered them out. Ha Ha!

Over all we had a really good time. There is lots for Payton to do and lots for Lincoln to look at. We bought a season pass so we will be back!

Head Bonk and Friends

Payton has started Potty Training and when she is done using the potty she has developed a habit of immediately jumping up and streaking into the family room. Usually this makes me laugh, but when we are in a hurry it is not as funny. Anyway, this particular time we were really running late and she bolted out the bathroom door with no pants on. When I caught her I picked up over my hip and started back to the bathroom. But where I picked her up was a tight squeeze and I accidentally bonked her head on the corner of the wall. I felt so bad.

Well a few minutes later, she was sort of stumbling around. My thoughts automatically went to the Friends when Monica bonked Ben's head on the ceiling. And how when Ross found out he told her that something was wrong with Ben. For those of you who are Friends fans I don't need to say anymore.

It made me laugh.

You are looking really good!

While I was at the gym this morning one of the other regulars came up to me and said, "You are looking really good since having your baby." That is definitely a long way from the comments I got while I was pregnant. LOL

Lincoln Rolled Over

Throw up indeed

At around midnight Dave and I woke to the sound of Payton crying. Dave went up to check on her and I turned down the monitor so that her crying would not wake up Lincoln. After a few minutes Dave still hadn't come back to bed. I decided to go upstairs and make sure everything was OK. I found them in the bathroom and Payton was throwing up. This is the first time we had a vomiting child. Yikes!

Dave told me he was OK with Payton but that she had thrown up all over in her bed. Great... I hate everything about vomit especially the smell. I just about tossed my cookies changing the sheets on her bed.

The rest of the night Dave and I took turns sitting with Payton while she threw up everything she ate during the day in reverse. I think the most frustrating part is that she would not throw up in anything. I think the act of throwing up freaked her out so bad that when she did she arched her back and the vomit went everywhere, including on me...

I think she finally stopped throwing up and fell asleep around 5:30 in the morning. Basically around the time Steven and Ashley got up for Seminary. I was so afraid they were going to wake her up when they came downstairs because we had made a bed for her in the living room so that she wouldn't wake anyone up. I only slept for about an hour when Lincoln woke up to nurse. Fortunately, he went back to sleep for awhile and I got to take a nap. :o)

What a night!
