Payton's First Day of Preschool

Today was Payton's first day of preschool!

She has been so excited for this day to come and has been talking about it for months.  This morning she was eager to get up, get dressed, and eat her breakfast.  It was really refreshing in comparison to the usual negotiations that mornings bring.  Ha! Ha!  She continued to be really excited up until the point the door opened for her to go in.  At that point she started to look a little apprehensive.

I am a believer in quick goodbyes; however, it was hard for me to see that apprehension in her face.  But I did it, I got her all set, told her I loved her and that I would be back soon, and walked out the door.  It was a good thing we were in a hurry to get to the train station so that Dave could make it in time for his train.  It kind of forced me out the door and into the car.  :o)

When Lincoln and I picked her up she was all smiles and was excited to tell us about her day.  She sang us a new song she learned, showed us her craft, and told us about a few new friends she met.  I hope she continues to love it.

So grown up! I'm glad she had fun, I think this'll be great for Payton and Janey... but how are they possibly so old?
